- Château de By : Home of the famous animal painter / Rosa Bonheur (1859)
- The long furrows emblematic of Thomeryon culture, the greenhouses of the Salomon gardens and the orchard (grape room)
- The church of St Amand
- The cobblestone port of Effondré and the banks ot fhe Seine which also inspired the Impressionists
- A natural place to discover from the house (#36 chemin des Roches Courteaux in Thomery) : Le Marais du Lutin and return via the Basses Godernes. Approximately 1 hour 30 on foot.

- Capital of the inland waterway industry with its boatman gardens behind the facade on the platform (the Venelles to discover)

- Access from Paris can be done by train (TER R) : Paris Gare de Lyon - Thomery / 45 minutes with 4 stops
- By car : around 70 kms.
- If you come by car, you will have parking adjacent to the house.
- GPS : To find us easily, you can enter the following address in your GPS : 44 rue de Bellevue in Thomery. Arrive at this place, you go down towards the Seine and turn right on the chemin des Roches Courteaux until #36.
